Growing Younger is growing

Growing Younger Programme (GYP) launched in May 2025, as an opportunity for churches to partner with Blank Canvas to explore, launch and deliver spaces for young people to explore faith and much more.

Why? Blank Canvas believes that every young person should have an opportunity to hear the hope of Jesus and be able to explore faith in a safe space.

How? One of our solutions to the lack of young people within churches, is the indeed the local church and we believe that with the right support, the local church can reach young people beyond what it currently does.

What? The GYP will look different in every church or community, whether that is due to worship and denominational factors, the level of investment and resources required or simply the context in which churches find themselves.

Over the last five months, we have begun conversations with churches across Redcar and Teesside who all express a desire to see young people explore faith and become part of worshipping communities. Blank Canvas is committed and beginning to take the lead in equipping, supporting and coaching the local church is needed in order to raise the confidence in youth work so that we can indeed grow younger.
